Will UPA Government even Reserve

25% of the Jobs for Muslims?

 

    The UPA Government has declared the reservation of 4.5% in the jobs for Muslims from the OBC quota. While campaigning for the elections to the UP Legislative Assembly, Law Minister Salman Khurshid has promised 9% reservation in the jobs for the Muslims. Mulayam Singh Yadav has promised 15% reservation for the Muslims, as that is the percentage of their population in India.

 

     Many Muslim leaders claim that the Muslims form 25% of the population of India. So why will the UPA Government not agree to reserve even 25% of the jobs for Muslims just to get most of their votes in the elections?

 

    In many border districts of West Bengal, Assam and other North Eastern states, the Muslims form more than 35% of the population. The Muslims are going to become a majority community in many parts of India some time in the near future. Once they cross the 50% mark, the Muslims are going to reserve most of the jobs for themselves. 

 

    Who is going to stop the Muslims from grabbing almost all the jobs in the future when they become the majority community in India? In Jammu and Kashmir, almost all the jobs are given to Muslims because they are in a majority in that state.
