Karunadhara : Everyone may not be aware that according to 2001 census, there are more than five lakhs physically and mentally disabled persons in Assam. The number, obviously will be much more now. The misery of a sizable section among them has been compounded by lack of financial means to sustain themselves. On the other hand, in our society, there are a large number of persons afflicted by complicated diseases, who are continuing to suffer indefinitely due to inability to afford costly specialized medical treatment inside or outside the state. Government measures to solve their problems are quite inadequate.
To provide some financial help to such needy persons to mitigate their suffering and to enable them to live with possible comfort and without any sense of being neglected by the society, a trust named as "Karunadhara" has been created on 28.02.2011 and registered on 28.03.2011 with 16 kind hearted persons as Trustees at Guwahati. This trust needs huge fund to fulfil its laudable objectives.
We, therefore, fervently appeal to you all to freely donate to the fund of "Karunadhara".Donations will be accepted only in Indian currencies only. Pariculars of bank account of "Karunadhara" are furnished below-
