He first went to Australia in 1991 as the junior most member of the touring Indian squad. Acknowledged as a prodigious talent and having already notched up his maiden Test century in England, Sachin Tendulkar was 18 and had been around the international scene for two years.
Today, at 38, and regarded as the finest Indian batsman of all time and one of the all time greats in the game with a plethora of world records against his name, Tendulkar makes his fifth tour Down Under - the only Indian to do so and one of a handful of cricketers to make as many tours of Australia.
Not many cricketers though have had a gap of 20 years between their first and last tours of Australia (one can justifiably predict that for all his durability Tendulkar will not be playing international cricket by the time the next Indian team visits the continent). We take a look at his performances Down Under over the years.
