The Sikh community all around the World is going through bad days of remembering and paying homage
to thousands of innocent lives lost 27 years ago in 1984 Sikh Genocide. And the worst thing is that in 27
years the Indian Justice system has failed to provide justice to the victim families or punish the guilty persons
police officers or political leaders involved in innocent killings. The 1984 Sikh Genocide was planned, organised
and executed by the ruling Congress party leadership. And because the ruling Congress Govt. has full control
on the police, CBI & Justice system and that is why the Justice system has failed to punish the guilty persons.
But our Sikh Nation has started a very good movement of Blood Donation that is getting popular in many
countries. It is our way of paying homage to thousands of innocent lives and reminding the World about
1984 Sikh Genocide. And we are also telling the World that Sikhs are against innocent killings and believe in
saving lives. All the Sikhs living in various cities should make an effort to donate blood to make this Sikh Nation
movement very successful.
I'll specially make a request to our socalled Moderate Sikhs to participate in this blood donation movement
too. I don't know why for some reasons these moderate Sikhs keep themselves away from the 1984 Sikh Genocide
movement. I have seen many of these moderate Sikh leaders to hold rallies on various innocent killings or related
issues. Some even call themselves big leaders against human right violations. But the moment we talk to them
about the 1984 Sikh Genocide or thousands of other innocent killings in later years in Punjab, they quickly try to
distance themselves from those issues."Oh no, that is an issue of the fundamentalist Sikhs, we don't want to talk
about it". It really disappoints me that certain people who call themselves big leaders and champions on human
rights or innocent killings issue, don't want to talk about thousands of innocent persons killed in 1984. One thing
they should know that when Congress led mobs were killing innocent Sikhs, they weren't just killing fundamentalists
and letting the moderates go. They were just killing innocent Sikhs. I'll like to share comments of our older persons
sitting in a park. They were having discussion about 1984 Genocide. One person who was a Congress party member
was defending the congress leadership. But one very smart old man told him that " large majority of innocent Sikhs
killed in 1984 were congress workers or supporters and had you been in Delhi in those days, you wouldn't have survived
either." And the congress worker couldn't say anything after that.
Our whole Sikh community should all stick togather on this issue of 1984 Sikh Genocide and demand justice for the
victim families and punishment to the guilty persons. Maybe we should learn from the Jewish community. No matter how
much they differ on various issues or belong to differant political parties, but moment it comes to Jewish Holocaust in 1940's
they all get united and speak up against Hitler forces and innocent killings. Even now every once in a while we hear about
an old German soldier being arrested in Canada or USA and sent to Germany for prosecution for his role in innocent killings.
Unfortunately we have some Sikh leaders who tell the Sikhs to forget whatever happened in 1984.
I sincerely hope that all our Sikh community will get togather one day and raise one voice against 1984 Sikh Genocide.
Only then we'll get support from various world leaders and they'll force Indian Govt. to punish the guilty persons involved
in innocent killings in 1984 Sikh Genocide. In the meantime many thanks to all the Volunteers involved in Blood Donation
movement and wish you all the success in your mission.
