At this meeting, the speakers will present the findings of a new IDMC/NRC report on inter-ethnic violence and internal displacement in the north-eastern region of India. The speakers will highlight the background to the violence and displacement in this area, the challenges facing those currently living in displacement, and the assistance provided to them. They will also discuss internally displaced people's prospects of achieving durable solutions.
A light lunch, coffee and tea will be available from 12 noon.
