This is to invite you to a conference on the prospects for Revolution in the Middle East and North Africa, in Paris, on Saturday 28 May. The text in French is followed by an English translation (there will be some translation at the Conference).

 

Conférence, Débat

: Des vagues incessantes de la révolution submergent,

un à un, les pays de l'Afrique du Nord et du Moyen Orient. Partout, les

masses populaires se soulèvent contre la misère et le despotisme, garants

des régimes de l'exploitation du capitalisme mondialisé. Partout, la contrerévolution

de l'intérieur et de l'extérieur tentent d'affaiblir et d'étouffer les

mouvements récents. Ainsi, face à la révolution, la guerre éclate. Que faire

pour s'ouvrir un chemin vers un monde meilleur ?

(Continual waves of revolution are rolling over the countries of North Africa and the Middle East. Everywhere the masses are rising against misery and despotism, the ever present signs of the exploitative regimes of globalised capitalism. Everywhere internal and external counter revolution is trying to tame and turn back the recent movements. Faced with revolution, war breaks out. What can be done to forge a path towards a better world?)
