Please call your Senators.  202 224 3121  The bill is up for a final vote tonight.  Please let others know.  Neither of the amendments would protect the country, and especially not from what is hidden in the bill.

For information on those hidden dangers, you might read "41 words inside S 510."  http://foodfreedom.wordpress.com/2010/09/10/41-words-inside-s-510/

And for more information on how dangerous this bill is, you might read "Leaked Trade Agreements and hidden dangers inside S 510.  http://foodfreedom.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/leaked-trade-agreements-and-hidden-things-inside-s-510-corporations-plan-to-end-normal-farming/

This is about more than destroying farming (which the bill would do) but is about ending US sovereignty - over food, health, resources, energy and economic policy - and putting it in the hands of international corporate agencies such as the WTO (Monsanto, Syngenta, Dupont, the big meat packers, BP, Chevron, Exxon, the pharmaceutical industry, etc.).  The bill puts all food in the US under Homeland Security as part of the war on terror.  Your rights to grow and access food you want will be eliminated.  The food safety division of the FDA (run currently by Monsanto), has said in court that you do not have the right to obtain, consume or feed you children of the food of your choice, to contract freely, or even have a fundamental right to your health.  http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/05/29/fda-says-you-have-no-right-to-real-food-unless-they-give-you-permission-first.aspx

The bill would allow those in charge, to do whatever they think best for farming.  Monsanto is expected to be in charge and the bill gives leeway to mandate GMOs

If the bill passes, and the economy collapses, the same international financial interests which wrecked the economy and stole trillions, would be the ones to decide how we must handle the debt they caused, and they could pauperize us as they have Greece.

"Science is not truth ... it may be learning but what you learn is not necessarily the truth, it's a piece of the truth not the whole.

Applied science that divorces itself from the consequences and effects of these isolated truths and says everything else is an untruth is the crux of the problem.

There are other valid truths which this kind of hubris refuses to see. Balance for one."
