Dear Bhasker Menon,
What is the difference between a terrorist and a patriot?
Bhagat Singh was a terrorist as far as the British were concerned, but a patriot as far as India is concerned. Having an army or a CRPF force in a place almost on a permanent basis does not become a democracy.
There was a recent report that almost two third of the districts in India are Naxalite infested. These districts too will need armed forces to keep law and order and once armed forces begin to keep law and order things will only get worse. What kind of democracy will it be if we need the armed forces to keep law and order.
India is is becoming a economic power. but in step with our progress on the economic front the divisive forces and terrorists too will garner funds and grow strong. Thus recent events in Kerala have shown that as Kerala gets more remittances from abroad the terrorists also grow strong.
It is the frustration with the political games being played in India that leads to such a state of affairs.
Someone said that a politician plans for the next day whereas a statesman plans for the next generation. It is a sorry state of things that we have no statesman of any stature in India. What is more with the Nehru dynasty having so much clout in Indian politics and the other parties being engaged in petty caste politics there is very little chance of any stateman coming to rescue India in the foreseeable future.

I feel terrible about the suffering but we should ask about why children were taken to the scene of a confrontation that the demonstrators intended to be violent. The CRP in Kashmir respond with violence when they are attacked murderously with rocks that are collected and brought to the site beforehand.

Bringing children to such a place can only have one very cynical explanation. Terrorist propaganda.

These are heart-rending images!  Beides the actual human tragedy depicted
I am also horrified at the thought of its after-effects spreading far and wide in our region.

State Terrorism Of India

State Terrorism Of India
The 8 year old innocent was killed by Indians during current protests. I haven't heard any NGO protesting working for childhood protection. Have you?

Baramulla Kashmir | PEOPLE CARRY THE BODY OF NINE-YEAR-OLD TARIQ AHMAD

Can you imagine these kids can be involved in terrorism?

Even Indians consider Dopatta as a weapon of terrorism…………

So many cowards behind a single journalist………………………………. Freedom of speech vocalists are silent here

Can this old man be dangerous for hundreds of thousands of Indian troops deployed in valley?

Indian paramilitary soldiers beat a Kashmiri civilian during a protest in Srinagar, India, Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Authorities brought new areas under curfew in the Indian portion of Kashmir on Wednesday to control the worst street violence in a year, triggered by the killing of 11 people allegedly by government forces over the past two weeks. JUST THINK SHE IS YOUR SISTER, SHE IS YOURS DAUGHTER!!!!!!

I Lie Dead, Don't Mourn For Me!
A young innocent Kashmiri student, aged 22, shot dead at point blank range by the draconian CRPF. They had promised a revenge killing after a trooper was shot dead by militants in the same location: The Slaughterers awarded one hundred rupees and promotions for killing the innocent Kashmiri.

Indian army killed 72 Kashmiris in August 2010.
