Protest against the defamation of Shivaji Maharaj by modern Aurangazebs !

     The curriculum of NCERT is often riddled with controversies. Either the great

revolutionaries like 'Bhagat Singh' are insulted by referring to them as 'terrorists' or

distorted history is taught. Of the 154 pages in the history text book of the 7th standard, most of the pages have been dedicated to information on the Mughals and Muslim kings who

invaded Hindustan; whereas, the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who valiantly fought the alien Mughal aggressors and established a Hindu state was concluded in just 4 lines. Not only this, the textbook contains pictures of kings of the 16th century like Babar, Akbar etc., but there is not a single picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who ruled in the 17th century.

2nd Success of HJS against NCERT syllabus

Chh. Shivaji Maharaj's History : 5 pages added to textbook, after HJS Protests

The portion of History related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

increased from 5 lines to 5 pages in the text book in Goa !

 

· In the History text book set for Standard VII , the brilliant history of Chhatrapati Shivaji

   Maharaj has been put forth  in just 4 lines and that too without his picture whereas the history   

   of Mughal invasions responsible for the destruction of Indian culture has been taken up a total  

   of  60 pages.

· Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive all over the two States of Maharashtra and

   Goa, to foil this ploy and prevent an insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

· The fight put up by HJS has borne fruit after 8 months and the portion narrating the history of

   Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been increased from 5 lines to 5 pages.

· An additional 9 page supplement has been sent to all schools in the State of Goa for

   teachers.

 

HJS has made an appeal to all Hindus to keep up their lawful fight until the history eulogizing the invaders is removed from the text books !
