SEALDH-AJMER URS SPECIAL TRAIN FLAGGED OFF

Kolkata: Wednesday, July 24, 2009.

 

 

          Union Minster of State for Tourism, Shri Sultan Ahmed today flagged off Sealdah-Ajmer Urs Special train from Sealdah. While flagging off the special train Shri Ahmed informed that Eastern Railway will run 3 pairs of Urs special trains to Ajmer Sharif this year. He also said that one pair will be run between Sealdah and Ajmer, one pair between Howrah and Ajmer and third pair between Bhagalpur and Ajmer.

      The Howrah-Ajmer Urs Special train will start from Howrah at 2300 hrs on 25 June 2009 and reach Ajmer at 0640 hrs on the third day. The all train will consist of 20 coaches including one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tiers, eleven Sleeper class and three general second class, two second class-cum-luggage vans and Pantry Car. This train will stop at Barddhaman, Asansol, Dhanbad, Mughalsarai, Allahabad, Kanpur, Tundla, Agra Fort, Swai Madhopur, Jaipur, Phulera and mother stations enroute on both ways.

         Shri Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Member of Parliament, Shri P Guha, DRM of Sealdah also spoke on this occasion.
